Clothing Stamp for Camp

We vote for the Clothing Stamp for Camp!

In our last post we apprised you about the in-office simulated contest between all of our Labels for Clothing Products.  We staged this mock competition determine to which of our products our customers prefer the most.  After scrutinizing and analyzing the sales data from our online transactions we got the results; our Iron On Labels are the outright winner.

Now although we are generally of the belief that ultimately the consumer will determine the popularity of a product, we’ve always felt that the average shopper simply doesn’t give the Clothing Stamp a fair shake.  Our experience has shown that buying the Clothing Stamp for your camp clothing has many benefits for a family with kids.  We've come to the conclusion that this product is overlooked for two major reasons:
  1. The price of the Clothing Stamp as compared to the price of a set of Clothing Labels
  2. The average consumer’s non-familiarity with the benefits of this practical item
PRICE  While our Camp Stamp currently retails at $24.99 our standard set of 100 clothing labels sells for a paltry $9.99 in comparison.  Many customers prefer to order labels with each individual kid’s name on it and can’t think of shelling out $24.99 twice.  But remember, the Camp Stamp is an incredible timesaver and with all the camp shopping and other preparations that you will need to do before the summer season, you’ll appreciate the time and energy that you will save as a result.

Our recommendation:  If you have more than 1 kid, buy a stamp with your last name only to be used on undergarments and the like and start logging the time and energy that you save as a result.  And if you'll be labeling camp clothing for one kid only, why not go for the best?

BENEFITS  What are the singular benefits of the Camp Stamp for your laundry?

·        Applying the Clothing Stamp is fast and easy.  All you need to do is spread the garment out on a flat surface, press down on the stamp and presto, your garment is labeled.  No more hours spent on ironing or sewing on clothing labels.

·        The Clothing Stamp can be used for way more than 100 impressions as compared to a set of 100 labels.

·        The Clothing Stamp will last you for many years way after that first set of 100 labels is used up.

·        With some creativity you might be able to make do with the clothing stamp only.  If you have dark clothing use it on tags or apply your own tag and stamp the imprint on it.

·        Although the ink will fade after a long while* you can always stamp it again when the wording is no longer visible.  (*Original imprint will last through a year or two of consistent washings and most kids outgrow their stuff by then).

·        When the inkpad is no longer usable, you can replace it with a replacement ink pad.
Although the Clothing Stamp does not have as many personalization options to choose from as our Clothing Labels, such as font and color, we do offer the option to add an icon to your laundry stamp in addition to the standard text.  This is an option that is unique to Starlight Labels and will cost you an additional $3.00 per stamp.

When making a decision as to what labeling option you will ultimately choose for your family, keep in mind that your situation and needs are unique and trust your own judgment.

Happy Camp Labeling (or stamping)!

Clothing Stamp for Camp - A Great Deal!

Years ago, when I was a young mother, I decided to buy the permanent clothing stamp to use on my son's underwear.  I was due to have my second baby any day and was planning to send my older one away for a week or so while I recuperated from the birth.  One of the prerequisites to sending him to my relative who had a houseful of boys herself, was that I had to label his underwear. When I went shopping for the clothing stamp, I was a bit shocked when the store charged me more than $20 and I remember asking the shopkeeper why it was so expensive. (Shame on me!)

It's ten years later and I still use that same laundry stamp and I've had to replace the inkpad only once.  Did I get a good value or not?  On the other hand, since then I’ve had to print several sets of clothing labels as my children outgrow their clothing and the old clothing labels stay on the previous articles of clothing.

Now, that my family is larger and my growing kids keep me busier than ever, I’m absolutely a proponent of spending those extra few dollars for both saving time and for the convenience.  I’m a big believer in investing in products that make household chores easier.  Life is so complicated nowadays and we are correspondingly so much busier.  Many people won’t think twice about shelling out an extra 20 bucks for fashion's sake or for ready-made food but will frown at spending that same money for convenience.

Think of all that you could do with the extra time; spend time with your kids, enjoy nature, or just plain be.  When was the last time you did that?
When it comes to the clothing stamp, I tell parents to go for it.  It’s clean, it’s neat, it’s fast to apply, it can be reused many times.  If the name fades just stamp it again.  Make life easy for yourself!
The laundry stamp does have two limitations:
  • The black ink is only visible on light clothing or care tag.
  • It does not print clearly on textured fabrics, (although with some care you could make it work better).

The clothing stamp (aka camp stamp) is particularly popular at this time of the year and for good reason.  Campers and their parents love it for its ease of use and quick application.  No matter how early parents prepare their camp lists, labeling is often a dreaded chore and left to the last minute.  The camp stamp alleviates some of the last minute stress as dozens of clothing could be labeled in a matter of minutes.  The indelible ink in the camp stamp is made to last through many, many washings.  You’ll be surprised when camp time rolls around again a year later, that your name will still visible on the clothing (if the clothing still fits the kid.)
You can choose to print 1 or 2 lines of text plus an icon of your choice.  Check out our new item Clothing Stamp with Icon.

Directions for replacing clothing stamp inkpad:
1.      Press down slightly on top of stamp.
2.      Push the button  with the arrow in the front center of the stamp.
3.      Ink pad should slide out easily.
4.      While you’re still pressing down on stamp, insert new inkpad.
